She exited WWE television late in 2023 due to health issues, and we have an update on Raquel Rodriguez after the 2024 Elimination Chamber.

I say update for a couple reasons.

First, if you looked at Raquel entering the ring area during the premium live event from Perth, Australia…you probably thought she looked different.

And second, based on comments from the WWE Superstar herself…she very nearly missed the Chamber, where Tiffany Stratton shined, due to her medical condition flaring up during her travel.

To give everyone a bit of a recap…

In early December, Rodriguez stepped away from WWE due to a health issue. It was later learned she was dealing with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, or MCAS.

If you do a web search, the symptoms of MCAS do not sound fun. To summarize, some common ones can be hives, swelling, issues breathing and itchiness.

So, take a look at Raquel as she went down to enter the Chamber…and she looks a bit different.

Update On Raquel Rodriguez After Elimination Chamber

The WWE Superstar noted that she indeed had a flare up of the condition at some point during her travel to the event.

Per Wrestling Observer reports, the women involved in the chamber had a practice walk through of the match, which Rodriguez had to miss.

The WWE Superstar posted about her ordeal, noting that she got treatment from local medical professionals in Perth ahead of her match.

It did not likely go quite as she had hoped, but she did tough it out and make it into the match.

However, it seems that at one point, there may have been discussion about a replacement in the event she could not go.

As we now know, it did not come to that.

However, knowing that Rodriguez had missed over two months of the WWE schedule as she got things under control…only to suffer an event on the way to Perth?

It is unfortunate for the former NXT Champion. Hopefully she is able to beat her MCAS into submission so that it does not prevent her from performing.
