We haven't heard anything from Vince McMahon since he stepped away from WWE last month but he was seen in New York City last night.

The former WWE boss celebrated his 77th birthday with close friend/former WWE Champion John Cena and his wife Shay Shariatzadeh. McMahon was seen with an unidentified female companion.

TMZ noted that Linda McMahon was not with Vince. There's been talk among people in wrestling that Vince and Linda haven't lived together for years so this would not be a surprise to people who know him.

The video posted by TMZ shows McMahon arriving with his companion but he was in no mood to talk with anyone and he tried to shield his face from the cameras.

McMahon remains the majority shareholder of WWE stock but, if you have been following WWE television in recent weeks, it is pretty clear that he is not hands on with the product like he was up until July.

McMahon stepped down after the WWE Board of Directors learned about hush money payments to women who previously worked for the company.
