After becoming an unlikely tag team and now winners of the Dusty Cup, what’s next for Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin?

It is a fair question to ask, all things considered.

Just a few months ago, they were more likely to fight each other than team up.

Now, they’ve teamed up, meshed well, gotten fans into them and won the big NXT tag tournament.

Not a bad few months as a tag team, if I am being honest.

But, as good as things have gone in 2024 for the duo, it’s been a pretty good start to the year for Breakker as a solo act too.

He found himself in a great spot in the Royal Rumble, for starters.

Following that showing, he now happens to be one of the hot free agents being chased by both Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis.

So, with all of that going on…

What’s Next For Bron Breakker And Baron Corbin?

According to Fightful, leadership is quite high on the tag team, and pleased with how things have gone.

You could say that things have probably gone even better than expected.

I hear that and can’t help but make some connections to the last tag team WWE officials expected to do nothing, but wound up taking off.

Looking at you, RK-Bro.

The challenge here of course is…Bron Breakker’s status.

While he worked NXT Vengeance Day on Sunday…he was also at SmackDown, and is expected at RAW on Monday evening.

In case you’ve missed either of those shows, check out the full SmackDown results here.

So, with Bron on the verge of a new home on Mondays or Fridays…what happens next?

I would hope that WWE saw the Dusty win coming, and know where this is going.

While Breakker could be a superb singles star, there is also something to be said for bringing up both men as a tag team and seeing what happens.

Corbin, of course, has been on the main roster before.

Or, if you really want to go big, since Brock Lesnar is off the table? Have Bron interrupt GUNTHER’s big moment on RAW.

And when you need backup against Imperium, you have buddy Baron Corbin standing by.

It almost makes too much sense…
