Stokely Hathaway ultimately won Willow Nightingale over.

TBS Champion Willow Nightingale recently sat down with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard and spoke about her relationship with Stokely Hathaway in AEW.

The trio (Willow, Stokely and Kris Statlander) got off to a rocky start. They get along now, but they’ve been highly entertaining the whole time. Willow says it took a while to warm up to Big Stoke’s personality, but he ultimately won her over.

“I will say, while we originally didn’t get along super well,” Willow Nightingale admitted. “Stokely’s really grown on me. I think it was a lot of misunderstanding, we’ve had very similar goals. And it was just a misunderstanding on how I felt we should get there, and how Kris felt like we should get there, and how he felt like we should get there.

“So, I think we’re starting to get on the same page,” she added. “Or rather, we have been on the same page for a little bit about the way we approach matches, the way we carry our values with us. Of course, Stokely’s always gonna deliver it with a little extra sass. He’s a sassy man. But I think that’s a part of his charm, and how he ultimately won me over.”

Kris Statlander and Stokely Hathaway were there to celebrate with Nightingale at Dynasty. They also shared the ring for Willow’s title celebration (and confrontation with Mercedes Moné) on AEW Dynamite.
