Intercontinental Champion Gunther and Sheamus finally got physical tonight for their match at WWE Clash at the Castle. Before the match got started, they showed "British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith's kids at ringside with Bret "The Hitman" Hart.

During Gunther's entrance, Ludwig Kaiser introduced Giovanni Vinci to reform Imperium. Vinci had been taken out of the group a few months back when Vince McMahon called up Gunther and Kaiser to SmackDown.

The match started with a brawl around ringside as Gunther and Sheamus stood face to face until the bell rang to start the match. As you would expect, this was hard hitting with stiff blows and moves throughout the entire match and there were some really good near falls in the late stages of the match.

Gunther pinned Sheamus to retain the title after hitting the powerbomb and a nasty looking lariat. After Imperium left, Sheamus was left in the ring and he got a standing ovation.
