It looks like WWE will be going back to having Rey & Dominik Mysterio wrestle each other at WrestleMania 40.

Feud

A year ago at WrestleMania 39, the father and son put an end to their long program with the WWE Hall of Famer going over in a singles match. Since then, Rey has continued on with the LWO while entering a feud with Legado Del Fantasma after Santo Escobar turned on Mysterio.

Escobar brought in Humberto Carrillo & Angel Garza for his group. LWO is made up of Mysterio, Wilde, Toro, Carlito, and Zelina Vega, while Legado Del Fantasma has Escobar, Carrillo, Garza, and Elektra Lopez.

Plans

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer pointed out Dominik getting involved in Escobar’s win over Rey during last week’s SmackDown felt like a start of a renewed rivalry.

Meltzer added, “Rey and Dominik in some form are currently planned to work in a match, but it’s not clear how many others are involved.’
