The WWE SmackDown brand has a new member.

During the February 16th episode of WWE SmackDown, Nick Aldis was seen negotiating with free agents. For weeks, Aldis and Raw General Manager Adam Pearce have had a friendly competition over who will sign the top names to their brand.

Well, Pearce and Monday Night Raw have just missed out on a likely future world champion.

Aldis walked out on stage inside the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, and announced that he has signed one half of the WWE NXT Tag Team Champions Bron Breakker. Bron walked out and officially signed his contract.

Breakker has been highly touted by fans and experts. He is a two-time NXT Champion, and many feel he's had more than enough time to get acclimated to how WWE operates its TV shows.

Clearly, WWE officials agree.

What this means for Breakker's current run with NXT tag team gold is unknown. Breakker's tag team partner is Baron Corbin, and the two have found some good chemistry on WWE NXT.

WWE has already advertised Bron Breakker for a match on next week's episode of Friday Night SmackDown. His opponent was not revealed.
