Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns vs. Jey Uso in a Tribal Combat Match took place at the WWE SummerSlam premium live event from Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan.

They started brawling before Reigns was sent into the steel steps. A table was set up at ringside. Jey Uso hit him a few times with a kendo stick before Reigns landed a series of clotheslines. Jey with a series of strikes then hit an outside dive. Jey with a superkick then a splash off the top rope for 2. Jey hit him with a series of chair shots as Paul Heyman pleads for him to stop. Reigns powerbombed Jey on a stack of steel chairs. They battled on the apron until Jey hit a samoan drop sending him through a table. Jey got a leather strap and started whipping Reigns with it. Reigns was bleeding from his left elbow. Solo Sikoa attacked Jey while in the crowd and sent him through a table. Back in the ring, Sikoa and Reigns were going for their tag team finisher and Reigns accident speared Sokia. Jey with a spear to Reigns for a near fall. Jey broke a chair while hitting Reigns with it so many times. Solo with a superkick to Jey. Reigns extended his hand to Solo, who didn’t help him up. Jey speared Reigns through the barricade while Reigns argued with Solo. Jey hit a splash to Solo through the announce table. In the ring, Jey hit a spear to Reigns then went to the top rope and hit a splash for 2 as Jimmy Uso returned to pull him out of the ring. Jimmy with a superkick to Jey then rolled him back in the ring, allowing Reigns to spear Jey through the announce table.

Winner: Roman Reigns
