X-Pac seemingly shoots down the rumors.

Earlier this week, PWInsider reported that Sean Waltman was recently spotted at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando and is expected to be in Florida during Royal Rumble weekend when the event emanates from Tampa Bay.

As a result, fan speculation has continued to fuel the rumors that X-Pac could appear in the 2024 men’s Royal Rumble match as a surprise entrant. Unfortunately, if he’s to be believed, Waltman claims it’s not happening.

On January 11, Waltman wrote on social media, “I can still go at the drop of hat, at least for a few minutes. I can do all my kicks, except the one in the corner & I can do that again with a few weeks training. I’m at least [a] month away from taking my shirt off in public, so zero chance I’ll be in the Rumble.”

Following his appearance on RAW Is XXX ahead of last year’s Royal Rumble, Waltman wrote something similar. He stated, “For the last 8 months, I’ve been enjoying life & eating whatever the f— I want. In other words, there’s no chance of me being in the Rumble. But I really appreciate those of you who have expressed their desire to see me appear. *Praying hands emoji*.”

X-Pac hasn’t appeared in a Royal Rumble match since 2000. Meanwhile, Waltman’s last match was in GCW was against Joey Janela in March 2022.
