Zoey Stark has a new outlook on the professional wrestling business.

Zoey Stark spoke with Bleav in Pro Wrestling‘s Rick Ucchino about working as a producer while she was sidelined with an injury. Stark missed nearly eight months due to a torn MCL, but she got a “new perspective” on the wrestling business while working behind the scenes.

“Producing is hard. Gave me a whole new respect for that. You know, Matt Bloom, Coach Bloom, he gave me the opportunity to really sit there and shadow a few people to figure out how it all really works out. And it just shows everything in a different light,” she explained, “of how things work and how to tell a story. Now, even as a performer, I don’t think as a normal just performer. I’m thinking of TV. You know, how the producers work. I work a lot with Johnny Moss and he’s amazing. So, it changed everything, story-wise and how I perform in every little bit.”

Zoey Stark added that she learned more because she was putting herself in new situations, noting that working in production influenced how she worked as a wrestler.

“I was even able to sit in the truck where the director’s at and watch how he does everything. And you just learn so much more when you put yourself in those situations and everything’s in a different light at that point,” Stark said. “You don’t look at it the same way anymore. Because now you’re thinking, okay, that camera’s over there, that camera’s over here. If I’m doing something, I need to be facing this way. And like, you’re breaking it all down.”

Zoey Stark recently spoke with WrestleZone about Molly Holly singing her praises in a recent interview. Stark said her younger self would be doing cartwheels and flips if she heard Molly’s remarks.

“If you were to tell eight-year-old me that Molly Holly is endorsing you, I’d be doing cartwheels and flips,” Zoey Stark said. “It’s amazing to have such legends like her to have my back and say that they see me having a big future in this. That gives me all the confidence in the world.”

Stark also said she would love to step in the ring with Molly Holly.

“Molly Holly versus Zoey Stark? I would love to wrestle her,” Zoey Stark said. “I think that’d be really, really fun. Molly Holly and I, I think we could kill it. I really do, so wrestle [her].”
