Matt Riddle Challenges Seth Rollins To A Fight Pit Match At WWE Extreme Rules

Matt Riddle and Seth Rollins are stepping into the fight pit at WWE Extreme Rules.

During tonight’s episode of WWE Raw, after the pair had interfered in each other’s matches for the night, and following months of feuding, Riddle seemed to have enough. In a backstage segment, WWE cameras caught Riddle and Rollins brawling with one another as WWE officials came rushing in to try and break up the pair.

As they were pulled away, Rollins said that if Riddle wanted a rematch, he could have it. Riddle then said that he wanted to face off against Rollins at Extreme Rules, and in a Fight Pit Match. After thinking for a moment, Rollins quickly accepted. WWE later confirmed the match.

A Fight Pit Match is pretty rare for WWE, as there have only ever been two before in the company’s history, the last of which featured Tomasso Ciampa facing off against Timothy Thatcher. Riddle previously faced Thatcher in a Fight Pit match in 2020.

This time, it’ll be two men who have quickly grown to hate each other, and they will look to settle the score once and for all inside the pit.
