Chargers ruthlessly troll Harrison Butker with perfect ‘kitchen’ reference in 2024 schedule release

The Los Angeles Chargers may have won the unofficial 2024 schedule release video contest with their “The Sims” themed video, and in the process, they subtly roasted each of their opponents for the upcoming campaign. One guy in particular got roasted quite badly, though, and that would be Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker.

Butker has made his way into the news as of late for some very controversial comments about women getting their college degrees, so the Chargers decided to use that to their advantage here. At the end of their video, they showed Butker in a kitchen making a pizza, which was a fairly blatant troll job after his comments resulted in quite a bit of backlash for him.

Harrison Butker continues to catch flak for latest controversial comments

Butker hasn’t been afraid of voicing his controversial opinions in the past, and he did that once again when he gave a commencement speech at Benedictine College in Kansas over the past weekend. Rather than giving the students advice on how to approach this next stage of their life, Butker went on a strange tirade about many of the opinions he holds, and unsurprisingly, many of them didn’t go over well with fans.

Most notably, Butker spoke out about how the women graduating had been led to believe “diabolical lies” when it came to their college education. While he believes some of them will have successful professional careers, he basically said that for many of them, their main goal in life is to be a housewife.

Butker’s views and his eye-raising comments aren’t exactly something to joke about on their own, but the Chargers found a clever way to make the talented kicker eat his own words. In their video, having Butker cook a pizza may seem harmless, but it’s having him do what he seems to think all women should be doing, which is staying at home and cooking meals for their families.

As if the Chargers video wasn’t already getting enough popular reviews, many fans who opposed Butker’s comments were praising them for their biggest roast of the bunch. Given how Butker kicks for their AFC West rival in the Chiefs, LA likely didn’t need much of a reason to troll him, so when he gave them the ammo they needed, they took it and ran with it in this video.

The NFL has already distanced themselves from Butker and his comments, and while he’s probably not going to get released based on what he said, he is going to keep on getting torched by fans, especially now that the Chargers are joining in on the fun. Los Angeles made sure to roast everyone that they could in their video, but it’s clear that Butker caught the worst blow of them all, and fans are loving it.
