Chiefs work out four players
The Kansas City Chiefs worked out four players over the weekend, a source confirmed.
Three of them, WRs Kelley Washington and Sam Aiken and LB Pierre Woods, played for the New England Patriots, the team general manager Scott Pioli worked for prior to coming to Kansas City.
The Chiefs also worked out S Gerald Alexander.
Kansas City has four receivers on their 53-man roster, but veteran Chris Chambers was a healthy inactive for yesterday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Aiken and Washington are excellent special teams players, but Washington could also give Kansas City a role as a third receiver.
