Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Desmond Jennings sat out his sixth consecutive game with an injured knee and there is still no timetable for his return although it does not sound he will need a trip to the disabled list. Unless some new breaks early Monday morning, it is best to reserve him for next week if you have other alternatives.
The Baltimore Orioles promoted outfielder Xavier Avery from Triple-A where he was hitting .273 with five home runs, 16 RBI and eight stolen bases. With Nolan Reimold and Endy Chavez both out of action, Avery should get at bats next week if you need a player in an AL-only format. Avery led off for the Orioles on Sunday and went 0-for-4 against the Tampa Bay Rays.
