This fall, Emanuel Navarrete will make a defense of his world title belt. On November 16 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Emanuel Navarrete will defend the WBO junior lightweight title against Robson Conceicao in a 12-round bout.

The fight will take place before Shakur Stevenson and Edwin De Los Santos battle for the vacant WBC world lightweight title.

This fight, which will be Navarrete's third of 2023, will be the main event that supports the lightweight championship match between Edwin De Los Santos and Shakur Stevenson.

Top Rank promotes Emanuel Navarrete(38-1, 31 KOs), 28, and Robson Conceicao, who are both listed in the top 10 at 130 pounds by The Ring. Conceicao and Navarrete are ranked seventh and first, respectively.

In August, Emanuel Navarrete  from San Juan Zitlaltepec, Mexico defeated former champion Oscar Valdez by wide points, earning the greatest victory of his career. He is a three-division champion who has won championships at 122 and 126 pounds.

Since his sixth professional battle against Daniel Argueta in July of 2012, Navarrete has never lost.

Robson Conceicao from Salvador, Bahia, Brazil was pulled from the fight against Polanco after an agreement with Navarrete was reached. Robson Conceicao(17-2, 8 KOs), 35, was originally set to take on the undefeated Humberto Galindo in Corpus Christi, Texas, in preliminary action on Top Rank's event.

"I had to three fight three times to become champion," said Conceicao to an American journalist and author Mark Kriegel.

"It's my time," said Robson Conceicao in media reports.

Robson Conceicao fell to Shakur Stevenson by unanimous decision in his previous bout, which took place on September 23, of last year. Stevenson lost the WBC and WBO world junior lightweight title belts due to his inability to meet weight, hence Conceicao was the one who could win them.

Robson Conceicao had only had one defeat prior to Stevenson's victory, a closely contested points loss against Valdez in September 2021 in Tucson, Arizona, during their 12-round match for Valdez's WBC super featherweight title.

Robson Conceicao  who won an Olympic gold medal in 2016, has competed for Top Rank since making his professional debut in November of that same year.
