Deontay Wilder Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

Lennox Lewis has shared his thoughts on a potential fight between the two former champions.

Anthony Joshua could be set to finally meet the hard-hitting, Deontay Wilder, in December. It’s a bout that boxing fans have wanted for a long time.

Eddie Hearn has confirmed that talks to stage the bout (on the same night as Oleksandr Usyk vs Tyson Fury), are ‘ongoing’.

The heavyweight legend was asked to pick his winner between Joshua and Wilder and Lewis told ESNEWS: “Joshua against Wilder? Definitely Wilder.”

He went on to explain why:

“Wilder’s got that thing in him where he wants to hurt you and I’ve seen it every time he throws that right hand, he’s trying to damage you with that right hand. He throws it with intention.”
