Tyson Fury narrowly defeated Francis Ngannou via split decision in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Ngannou shocked many fans and pundits alike in giving Fury a tremendous fight. It was his first professional boxing bout and pretty much everyone thought it would be an easy night’s work for Fury.

Speaking in an interview with Boxing King Media, Shane Fury gave insight into the possible reasons into his brother’s subdued performance:

“Listen, it was a combination of a lot of things. It was a combination of having twelve months out of the ring and having your trainer with you, trying to put your bad habits right that you have learnt in the last ten months, and the man being a lot better than what he thought he was going to be.”

He also hinted that the WBC heavyweight champion may retire from the sport.

He continued: “Realistically, that might be Tyson now, I am hoping not but at the end of the day he is 35-years-old and people go overnight. I’m hoping that’s not Tyson because you see him much different in the gym, it was chalk and cheese, I’m hoping that’s not the case.”

Do you think the Ngannou fight will be the last time we see Tyson Fury in the ring?
