College basketball is right around the corner, so thankfully we still have plenty of time to do some pre-season scouting on college players.

Let’s dive into the top SEC prospects for the 2024 NBA Draft:

Justin Edwards | Kentucky

Justin Edwards is a 6-foot-7 freshman wing that’ll be playing for Kentucky this upcoming season.

The potential number one pick has a versatile play-style that allows him to be a mismatch problem on the offensive end. As of right now, he’s best as a slasher in the open floor and in the half-court. But you shouldn’t sleep on his ability to shoot it and be a tough shot-maker.

Edwards also has the tools to be an effective two-way player that can really make some noise on the defensive end. We should anticipate Edwards being one of the most impactful freshmen not only in Kentucky or the SEC, but in all of college basketball.

DJ Wagner | Kentucky

DJ Wagner is a 6-foot-3 freshman combo guard that’ll also be playing for Kentucky this upcoming season.

Wagner is one of the most talented offensive guards in the 2024 NBA Draft due to his scoring prowess, shiftiness and quickness. He's wired to score it at all three levels and plays very unafraid out on the court. He has the ability to create space off the dribble which allows him to get to his spots on the court.

Wagner is still figuring out how to balance when to be a scorer and playmaker but the pure talent is there which gives him a chance to be one of the top guards in the SEC.

Riley Kugel | Florida

Riley Kugel is a 6-foot-5 sophomore guard that plays for the Florida Gators.

Kugel is one of the top returning prospects in all of college basketball after he showcased his pure talent on the court during the final two months of the season.

From the beginning of February to the end of the season Kugel dropped double digit points in all of his games. Now, expectations are very high for the sophomore guard, and if Florida could be extremely dependent on Kugel's performances.

Aaron Bradshaw | Kentucky

Aaron Bradshaw is a 7-foot freshman center that’ll be playing for the Kentucky Wildcats this upcoming season.

Bradshaw is one of the top shot-blocking prospects in all of college basketball but he’s much more than just a shot-blocker. He also has the ability to space the floor as he has solid shooting ability which is unique for a big at his size. With his long arms and size he’ll be a lob threat at all times which will allow him to be very effective in the dunker spot or as the roll-man.

A lot of scouts have differing opinions on Bradshaw as a prospect, but nonetheless we should anticipate some great flashes throughout the season from the center.

Trevon Brazile | Arkansas

Trevon Brazile is a 6-foot-10 junior forward that plays for the Arkansas Razorbacks

Brazile is coming off an ACL injury that forced him to miss the remainder of last season after only playing nine games. The 6-foot-10 big man is very athletic and has some of the best bounce in all of college basketball. He has proven to be a high level finisher around the rim, can even shoot it a bit and has some high upside as a defender.

Brazile should be in for a big season for the Razorbacks as long as he’s able to stay fully healthy.
