Does Illinois Basketball Have The Best Recruiting Duo?

Illinois Basketball has flexed its muscles on the national recruiting trail. Brad Underwood has officially welcomed back, Orlando Antigua, as the associate Head coach of the Illinois Basketball program. In all, Antigua is considered one of the top assistants in the country and has recruited some of the top talents in the country for over a decade. Coach Antigua brought in key pieces that helped elevate Illinois from the bottom of the Big Ten to where it is now. Antigua left Champaign in 2021 to return to Lexington and to work with John Calipari. In that time, Tim Anderson has done an outstanding job of bringing in talent that has also elevated Illinois. For example, Ty Rodgers, Terrence Shannon Jr, Matthew Mayer, and Morez Johnson Jr; Tim Anderson is an ace recruiter

Combining Antigua and Anderson gives Illinois the best recruiting duo in the country. That is a fact. The talent that will be coming to Champaign will be second to none. If Illinois Basketball can cash in on that talent, they will be at the top of the Big Ten for years to come. Subscribe to the Illinicast, the top Illini podcast out there.
