Elite Eight matchup features rematch between brothers

In true storybook fashion, this year's Elite Eight will be a brotherly affair.

When the San Diego State Aztecs and Creighton Bluejays take the court to battle for a spot in the Final Four, brothers Arthur Kaluma and Adam Seiko will be on opposite ends of the floor.

Kaluma, a sophomore forward, started for Creighton in Friday night's 86-75 win over No. 15 Princeton. He recorded 10 points off 3-of-7 shooting from the field while adding six rebounds and a block.

Meanwhile, Seiko is a senior guard for the Aztecs. In San Diego State's 71-64 upset win over No. 1 Alabama on Friday, Seiko scored seven points off the bench, shooting 3-of-4 from the field and 1-of-2 from beyond the arc. Seiko's lone three-pointer of the night came at a significant time. With 8:39 left in the second half, Seiko scored the go-ahead basket for the Aztecs, who held the lead until the final buzzer.

Seiko even predicted Sunday's Elite Eight matchup. Earlier this week, he told reporters it seemed "almost inevitable" that his Aztecs would meet up with Kaluma's Bluejays.

Sunday won't be the first time the brothers have gone head-to-head in the NCAA Tournament. Last March, Kaluma and Creighton eliminated SDSU in the tournament's opening round, winning in overtime, 72-69.

This year's NCAA Tournament didn't need any more storylines, but Sunday's matchup pitting the Bluejays against the Aztecs provides one of the more compelling of the Elite Eight.
