San Diego State's incredible NCAA Tournament run continues.
On Friday, the Aztecs stunned No. 1 Alabama, 71-64, becoming the first team from the Mountain West Conference to advance to the Elite Eight.
A day after Kansas State's Markquis Nowell shined, another undersized guard earned the spotlight Friday for the Aztecs. Senior Darrion Trammell, listed at 5-foot-10, led all scorers with 21 points, shooting 9-of-16 from the field and 3-of-5 from the 3-point line.

Meanwhile, Jaedon LeDee scored 12 points in the victory, helping SDSU outscore Alabama's bench 28-16.
Three Alabama starters finished in double figures. Mark Sears had a team-high 16 points, while Charles Bediako and Jahvon Quinerly had 10 points apiece in the loss.
Despite taking a 28-23 lead into the locker room at halftime, the Aztecs found themselves behind midway through the second half. However, San Diego State hung around, eventually retaking the lead thanks to an Adam Seiko 3-pointer with 8:39 remaining.

San Diego State never trailed again.
Leading by as many as nine late, the Aztecs' lead slipped to only a basket with 47 seconds left. However, SDSU was able to clamp down on defense, holding Alabama scoreless the rest of the way to punch their ticket to the Elite Eight.
The Aztecs now await the winner of No. 6 Creighton vs. No. 15 Princeton, whom they'll face for the right to play in the Final Four on Sunday.
