Illinois All-Big Ten guard Marcus Domask entered the 2024 NBA Draft on Thursday, bringing an apparent end to his appeal for a medical hardship waiver and sixth year of college eligibility.

"At this time, I have exhausted all my possible eligibility in college and will be entering my name in and preparing for the 2024 NBA Draft," Domask posted to social media Thursday afternoon.

Illinois returns only one player for its primary rotation -- current sophomore Ty Rodgers -- next season. Rodgers is also the top returning scorer at 6.2 points per game with top four scorers Terrence Shannon Jr. (23 points per game), Domask, Coleman Hawkins (12.1 ppg) and Quincy Guerrier (9.6) all NBA draft hopefuls.

A transfer from Southern Illinois last spring, Domask delivered in a huge way in Champaign. He was named First Team All-Big Ten and averaged 15.9 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.9 assists during the Fighting Illini's run to the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight.

A foot injury during a four-year run at SIU limited Domask to 10 games in 2020-21. He was selected All-Missouri Valley Conference each of the other three seasons and scored 1,615 points for the Salukis. Domask applied for the injury hardship with the goal of returning to Illinois for the 2024-25 season.

"This past year was one of my most memorable years of my life and I want to thank all of you for making it so special," said in his announcement. "Thank you for being so welcoming to my family and I, making us feel at home since day one. To my teammates and coaches, thank you for bringing out the best in me and taking me with you on this incredible journey. I came here to play for championships and improve my game. Proudly, I can say both were a success."
