John Calipari went viral on Monday thanks to an awkward exchange with a reporter amid reports that he's leaving Kentucky for Arkansas.

ESPN's Pete Thamel reported on Sunday night that Calipari and Arkansas are nearing a deal.

On Monday afternoon, WKYT caught up with Calipari, who was wearing a blue pullover while walking his dog, in Lexington, KY.

Calipari was asked if he had anything to say to fans.

"No I don't," said Calipari. "I'm walking my dog right now. I'm good, I'm good. Come on Paul (the dog). My dog is walking me."

Calipari had to know he'd be approached with the reports swirling that he's leaving for Arkansas. But he went on the dog walk anyway. And, as expected, an awkward moment ensued.

Sometimes the Saturday Night Live skits write themselves.
