The USC Trojans scored another win on the transfer portal front in the Eric Musselman era, as the program has reportedly secured the commitment of Chibuzo Agbo, who last played with the Boise State Broncos.
USC Trojans Bag Commitment of Talented Scorer
Agbo is an experienced college player, having spent his first two years of eligibility with the Texas Tech Red Raiders before transferring to Boise State. Now, he’s about to help turn things around for a Trojans program that missed the boat to the 2024 NCAA Tournament. He’s also the latest addition via transfer portal since Musselman was hired to be the Trojans’ new head coach.
NEWS: Boise State transfer Chibuzo Agbo has committed to USC, sources told ESPN. Averaged 13.7 PPG and 5.1 RPG, shot 41% from 3 at 6-foot-7. Had 17 points vs. Colorado in the NCAA tournament. Honorable mention All-MWC selection. Third commitment of the day for Eric Musselman.
Agbo, who had offers from the Arizona Wildcats and the Butler Bulldogs before choosing to sign with the Red Raiders, can be expected to raise the ceiling of USC’s perimeter shooting. He is knocking down 1.4 3-pointers per 3.5 shots taken from deep so far in his collegiate career for a 39.0 percent success rate. Last season, the Trojans were just 87th in the nation with 35.5 percent shooting from behind the arc and 145th with only 7.6 3-pointers made per outing.
Overall, the Trojans now have seven transfer portal commits this offseason.
