On Sunday night, WVU Basketball received a transfer commitment from Washington State guard Joseph Yesufu. Yesufu reunites with WVU HC Darian DeVries as he becomes the 10th player for the 2024-25 season.

Yesufu visited Morgantown over the weekend and made his commitment official.

Yesufu (6-foot) played this past season at Washington State. Yesufu appeared in six games, averaging 6.2 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists. The Bolingbrook, Il. native has played at Drake and Kansas. Yesufu played under DeVries at Drake from 2019-21. Yesufu helped the Bulldogs to the 2021 NCAA Tournament, averaging 12.8 points. Yesufu transferred to Kansas after Drake and was a part of the 2022 National Championship team.

Yesufu has one year of eligibility remaining.

Yesufu becomes the seventh transfer WVU has picked up this offseason, joining Tucker DeVries (G – Drake), Sencire Harris (G – Illinois), Amani Hansberry (F – Illinois), Toby Okani (F – UIC), Eduardo Andre (C – Fresno State) and Javon Small (G – Oklahoma State).
