No. 25 Fairfield mowed down Canisius 77-64 on Friday to move into the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference tournament championship game in Atlantic City, N.J.

The Stags (30-1) won for the 30th time this season and notched their 28th consecutive victory, establishing a new MAAC record for a women's basketball program winning streak.

Janelle Brown scored 19 points for Fairfield, Meghan Andersen added 16 and Emina Selimovic had 11 points and 12 rebounds for Fairfield.

The Stags will play for their fifth MAAC tournament title on Saturday. Fairfield's only loss this season was at Vanderbilt, 73-70, on Nov. 12 in the third game of the season.

MAAC leading scorer Sisi Eleko had another quiet game for Canisius (17-14) with four points and five rebounds before fouling out.

Eleko averaged 16.3 points and 10.8 rebounds per game but scored 17 total points in three losses to Fairfield since Jan. 6.
