One of the heroes of Alabama’s 2023 season is looking for a fresh start elsewhere.

Alabama wide receiver Isaiah Bond entered the transfer portal on Friday, according to multiple reports. The former 5-star prospect has two years of eligibility remaining.

Bond had a team-leading 48 receptions for the Crimson Tide this season. He finished with 668 yards and 4 touchdowns — none bigger than the one he secured in the Iron Bowl.

Alabama was trailing 24-20 with 42 seconds left in their annual rivalry game against Auburn on Nov. 25. The Crimson Tide had a 4th-and-goal from the Auburn 31-yard line after quarterback Jalen Milroe missed a snap and took a huge loss. Just when it appeared Alabama’s College Football Playoff hopes were about to go up in flames, Milroe found Bond in the corner of the end zone to win 27-24.

You can see a video of the play here.

Bond could be joined in the transfer portal by many other noteworthy Alabama players. Nick Saban stunned the college football world when he announced his retirement this week, and there is a chance that will lead to an exodus of talent in Tuscaloosa.
