West Virginia linebacker Jared Bartlett officially entered his name in the transfer portal this morning after spending five years in Morgantown. After the news broke, Bartlett shared a message to both WVU and the fans on Twitter (X).
"To Mountaineer Nation,
First, I want to thank God for giving me the ability and opportunity to play the game of football. I would also like to thank Mountaineer Nation for an amazing experience in Morgantown for the past few years, there is no fan base like you all! The atmosphere and passion on game day has been the experience of a lifetime. Thank you to Coach Joseph, Brown, and Lesley for developing me into the player I am today. Thank you to John Chambers and the Elite Chambers Program for giving me the platform to expand my network and develop skills and knowledge of different opportunities in the business world. Throughout my time as a Mountaineer, I have grown as an athlete and as a man and can truly say I left the program in a better position than when I joined in 2019. I will be usiny my last year of eligibility as a graduate transfer. Forever a Mountaineer!"
