It looks like there will now only be one Etienne brother playing in the state of Florida.

Running back Trevor Etienne announced in a post to X on Thursday that he is entering the transfer portal. Trevor thanked the Florida Gators, whom he had spent the last two seasons with, for “an invaluable experience” that he “will cherish for years to come.”

You can read Trevor’s full statement below.

The 19-year-old Trevor is the younger brother of Jacksonville Jaguars star Travis Etienne. Trevor made 11 total appearances for the Gators this season, rushing for 753 yards and a team-leading eight touchdowns. He operated in a timeshare with junior Montrell Johnson though, and freshman Treyaun Webb also took away some work.

With two years of eligibility left, it looks like Trevor wants the opportunity to serve as an undisputed lead back before he is able to declare for the NFL Draft. It may be worth noting too that there was a very familiar school linked to Trevor before he committed to Florida.
