Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa: Mac Jones is a more mobile Tom Brady

If the New England Patriots want to find their next Tom Brady, maybe they should consider moving up in the draft to select Mac Jones.

Of course, it's likely no quarterback will ever accomplish what Brady has. However, the Alabama quarterback is drawing plenty of comparison to the seven-time Super Bowl champion. Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa had some high praise for his former teammate, who he says is a "more mobile" Brady.

"I would say he's a sly kind of athletic person," Tagovailoa said, according to Yahoo Sports. "He's a more mobile Tom Brady. He's very athletic, very smart too."

ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper also compared Jones to Brady in regards to accuracy, competitiveness and intelligence. While the two are similar, Jones likely won't be waiting as long to hear his name called on draft night.

Jones had a tremendous 2020 campaign with the Crimson Tide, completing 77.4% of his passes for 4,500 yards and 41 touchdowns against four interceptions. He also ran for 14 yards and a score.

Alabama went undefeated last season, defeating the Ohio State Buckeyes 52-24 in the National Championship Game. Jones threw for 464 yards and five touchdowns in that game.

It's unclear where Jones will end up, but if the Patriots are that high on him, they'll likely have to trade up from their No. 15 spot to get him.
