The positive energy, influence, and enthusiasm Kalen DeBoer has brought to Alabama football is contagious.

Many, including Crimson Tide fans, have been enjoying the vibe. Some feel DeBoer will not match the 17-year success of Nick Saban, but others believe he will win multiple national championships. Dusty Dvoracek, a College Football analyst for ESPN, said on The Next Round show via WJOX 94.5 FM in Birmingham (Ala.) that he does not see how it is not going to work out for Alabama with DeBoer. Dvoracek commended DeBoer on stepping out and wanting the opportunity to succeed Coach Saban.

“I know a lot of people anticipate some fall from grace, but I think Alabama is going to be really good next year,” Dvoracek said.

“I think they are going to be really good. They are going to be right there in there in the thick of it, fighting for a playoff spot, and fighting for another SEC Championship. I am not trying to place the bar too high, but I think Kalen DeBoer knows exactly who he is, knows what he wants to do, and he knows he does have to do too much. He has to make it his program, which he talked about, but a lot of the elements he spoke to are already in place. The fact that he looks at Nick Saban as a key asset and not someone he needs to be worried about, how many other places have that kind of resource at their disposal? I have been really impressed with DeBoer.”

Dvoracek feels Alabama made a ‘helluva hire’ with DeBoer and feels he will have a lot of success.
