Former Miami Hurricanes quarterback Tyler Van Dyke is on the hunt for his next school. Could he be considering a stint at Camp Randall Stadium next season?

Van Dyke confirmed that he was entering the transfer portal on Nov. 27 after four seasons with Miami.

The 22-year-old QB is reportedly visiting the University of Wisconsin this weekend, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel.

Van Dyke threw for 7,478 yards with 54 touchdowns and 23 interceptions primarily in his three seasons as QB1 in Coral Gables.

Van Dyke had his most productive season as a redshirt freshman in 2021 when he threw for 2,931 with 25 TDs and only 6 picks. But he’s been unable to replicate the same success in his past two campaigns. Van Dyke has dealt with injuries and was even benched at times over the last two years.

Miami and Wisconsin finished with identical 7-5 records last season. But the Badgers arguably offer more stability and have a better track record over the past decade. Wisconsin has reached a bowl game in each of the past 22 seasons, while Miami was left without bowl games in 2021 and 2022.

The Big Ten team would also offer Van Dyke a chance to play against a stiffer level of competition amid the conference’s looming expansion.

Wisconsin split their quarterback duties last season between Tanner Mordecai and Braedyn Locke, who combined to throw for 2,465 yards with 11 touchdowns and a completion percentage of 59.4%.
