OXFORD — Former Ole Miss Rebels tight end Michael Trigg has entered the transfer portal, he announced on Saturday.

Trigg announced his decision on X, the platform previously known as Twitter.

Trigg began his career with the USC Trojans and transferred to Ole Miss with quarterback Jaxson Dart ahead of the 2022 season.

He was no longer part of the Rebels team in late September of this season, but he did secure a clutch touchdown reception in Ole Miss’ win over Tulane in Week 2.

Over the course of three seasons (some of which were injury-shortened as well), Trigg has hauled in 28 receptions for 330 yards and five touchdowns.

In the 2023 season, before he departed the Rebels’ roster, he had accumulated four receptions for 65 yards and a score.

As mentioned above, this will mark his second transfer of his collegiate career as he looks to put his clear athletic abilities on display with a different program.
