It's been an eventful offseason for former Tennessee Vols defensive lineman Tyler Baron.

The Tennessee native entered the NCAA transfer portal after the 2023 season and he initially committed to Ole Miss.

After a (very) short stint in Oxford, Baron flipped his commitment from Ole Miss to Louisville.

Baron went through spring practice with the Cardinals (he suffered an injury that kept him sidelined for most of spring practice) before re-entering the NCAA transfer portal earlier this month.

Because Baron transferred to an ACC program in January, he's eligible to come back to the SEC despite entering the portal during the spring window (it's a bit of a loophole).

According to 247Sports' Matt Zenitz, Baron visited the Miami Hurricanes this past weekend.

Zenitz also reported that Ole Miss will go in-home with Baron on Thursday while noting that some other "prominent schools" have interest in the former Tennessee defensive lineman.

LSU hasn't been publicly connected to Baron, but they're another SEC program that's in search of a transfer defensive lineman, so he could be a fit for the Tigers.

Baron, a former four-star recruit, totaled 10.5 tackles for loss and six sacks for the Volunteers last season.
