Historic Tennessee-Georgia game sets record for regular-season CFB ticket prices
Fans must pay out the wazoo for tickets to Saturday's showdown between undefeated Tennessee (8-0) and Georgia (8-0). The cheapest seats are going for $626 apiece, per Tick Pick, a New York-based online marketplace for event tickets.
For those with even more money to blow, the site lists the most expensive single ticket at $1,549.
This is the biggest regular-season game in college football since the 2019 contest between LSU, ranked No. 1 by AP, and Alabama, ranked No. 2.
Saturday's game will mark the first time that teams ranked No. 1 in the AP (Georgia) and College Football Playoff poll (Tennessee) play each other.
Tennessee fields the best scoring offense (49.4) in college football, while Georgia has the second-best scoring defense (10.5).
The Bulldogs announced star linebacker Nolan Smith is out for the remainder of the season, a hit to their chances of stopping the Volunteers' high-flying attack.
