The tight end position for the Vols sees Jacob Warren return for his redshirt freshman season. With Princeton Fant leaving for the NFL draft, Warren will get lots of snaps and touches on the football this upcoming season.

Warren split time with Fant in receiving passes. He finished the 2023 season with 163 yards on 12 catches. Previously in 2021, he had a more productive season with 179 yards and three touchdowns to go with it.

The 2021 season was Warren's career best. So, a season where he is the number one tight end would be a valuable way to end his career to get the national attention that can lead to good draft stock.

Warren also provides experience to a passing attack that will be missing both Jalin Hyatt and Cedric Tillman from this past season. This will help Joe Milton get adjusted quicker since he has a tight end with tons of experience already.

Warren, on his game and role with Tennessee, "Pretty much as a player, I'm the guy that can do anything that you ask. I'm going to be consistent. I'm going to be reliable." This is exactly what you want to hear from a fifth-year senior who is primed to become one of the bigger leaders not only for the offense but also for the entire team.
