The Vols already knew they would be without running back Jabari Small for the Citrus Bowl, as he officially opted out earlier in the week. However, he confirmed speculation that this would be by the end of his college career on Friday - Small declared for the 2024 NFL Draft, joining fellow running back Jaylen Wright and quarterback Joe Milton III in Vols that will test the draft waters this offseason.
The offseason is almost underway for Tennessee football. The Vols have concluded the regular season and are now focusing on roster construction for the 2023 season. If players don't transfer within that window, they must wait until May following spring practice to enter the transfer portal.
