Former Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Jalen Milroe finished fourth for career touchdowns (45 passing, 33 rushing) in program history.
He now has his sights set on the NFL, visiting with multiple teams ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft. On Tuesday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Milroe was attending a private workout hosted by the New York Giants.
The Giants also had former Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders and former Louisville Cardinals quarterback Tyler Shough at the workout.
The franchise currently holds the third overall pick in this year's draft. The Giants finished the season with a 3-14 record. The Cleveland Browns and Tennessee Titans are drafting ahead of the Giants.
The franchise released starting quarterback Daniel Jones in November. He started 10 games last season, throwing for 2070 passing yards, eight touchdowns, and seven interceptions.
After Jones was released, Drew Lock, Tommy DeVito and Tim Boyle took turns starting under center. Lock was the only one of the three who won a game as the starter, leading the Giants to a 45-33 win over the Indianapolis Colts in Week 17.
Milroe threw for 2,844 passing yards, 16 touchdowns and 11 interceptions in his first season under new head coach Kalen DeBoer. He ran for 726 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns.
Alabama finished the year at 9-4 under DeBoer. The former Washington Huskies head coach got a hot start, going 4-0 with a massive 41-34 win over the No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs.
Then two weeks later, Alabama lost 40-35 to the Vanderbilt Commodores. The Crimson Tide also suffered losses at the hands of the No. 11 Tennessee Volunteers, Oklahoma Sooners and Michigan Wolverines.
The last time Alabama had a quarterback taken in the top five was in the 2023 NFL Draft, when the Carolina Panthers selected Bryce Young with the first pick.
The 2025 NFL Draft is from April 24-26 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
