Following the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs' third straight season with a 3-9 record, quarterback Hank Bachmeier has decided to enter the transfer portal for the second straight year.

Arriving in Ruston from Boise State, Bachmeier was expected to be one of the next big quarterbacks in Conference USA, but a shoulder injury kept him out for three games, while backup quarterback Jacob Turner made a lasting impression.

The senior quarterback ended the season throwing for 2,058 yards, 10 touchdowns and five interceptions. Bachmeier ended up ranking third amongst the conference in pass efficiency, sixth in total offense, seventh in passing yards and total offensive yards.

Bachmeier was a transfer from Boise State, another G5 team that found success this past season going 7-5 and making the Mountain West championship game despite their coach being fired.

The now former Bulldogs quarterback should receive interest throughout the G5 world, given his past success with the Broncos.
