Ohio State Buckeyes receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. and safety Josh Proctor were named the Big Ten Conference's Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week, respectively.

Harrison and Proctor were instrumental to the Buckeyes' 37-17 win over the Maryland Terrapins on Saturday, having been responsible for momentum-shifting plays when Ohio State needed them most.

First, Proctor scored the inaugural touchdown of the game for the Buckeyes with almost 10 minutes remaining in the second quarter. The Owasso, Oklahoma native telegraphed a pass from Terrapins quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa and took it back 24 yards to the endzone for Ohio State's fifth interception of the season.

Saturday's pick-six was the first defensive touchdown of his career for Proctor, who also ended the game with seven total tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss (TFLs).

Harrison, on the other hand, recorded 163 yards (the most on the team) against the Terrapins on six receptions. The longest catch of the day for Harrison was a 58-yard bomb from Ohio State quarterback Kyle McCord late in the second quarter, which helped set up a game-tying field goal before the halftime break.

On 3rd-and-5 from the Maryland 12-yard line with just over seven minutes left in the game, McCord connected with Harrison in the endzone for what appeared to be a touchdown. However, the score was nullified by an illegal motion penalty against Buckeyes receiver Xavier Johnson.

McCord found Harrison once again on the very next play, securing a 17-yard touchdown to give Ohio State a 34-17 lead in the fourth quarter (following a successful point-after try from Fielding.

Ohio State hits the road this weekend bound for West Lafayette, Indiana, where they will battle the Purdue Boilermakers at noon on Saturday, October 14.
