Maryland transfer WR Dino Tomlin, son of Steelers HC, enrolls at Boston College

Head coach Mike Tomlin's Pittsburgh Steelers may have been eliminated from the NFL playoffs recently, but a different member of the Tomlin family made some news in the college football world on Wednesday.

Dino Tomlin was a three-star prospect as a member of the class of 2019 and was the No. 23 overall prospect in Pennsylvania, the No. 131 wide receiver in the class and the No. 1,172 overall prospect in the class coming out of Shady Side Academy in Pittsburgh, according to Tyler Calvaruso of Eagle Insider.

"Tomlin entered the NCAA Transfer Portal earlier in January after catching two passes for 12 yards in 2021. Tomlin registered one reception for seven yards in his first year at Maryland and worked mostly as a reserve wide receiver and key special teamer during his time with the Terrapins," Calvaruso wrote.

The reporter noted that the Eagles wideout group next season is expected to see plenty of new faces, with three players at the position -- Jehlani Galloway, CJ Lewis and Kobay White -- having entered the transfer portal since the end of the season.

Dino Tomlin is listed at 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds.
