Florida State’s head coach Mike Norvell took a shot at Alabama and other one-loss teams as he made a case for the Seminoles to make the College Football Playoff.

Norvell was a guest on “ESPN’s Championship Drive,” and he was asked to make a case for his program to be in the playoff. He made sure it was understood he felt no one-loss team should be in over the Seminoles.

“For the teams that have a loss, I’m sorry,” Norvell said. “They got a loss. I mean they earned that loss. We’ve earned every victory that we’ve had, and we’ve done it with a challenging schedule. We’ve done it with great players. We’ve done it in a way that it represents what college football’s all about. When it comes to the committee, I just urge them they do the right thing because ultimately that’s what this game is. And you get a collection of players, coaches, teams coming together and you see a team that does what’s necessary to go do what we all set out to do and that’s win. To be 13 and 0, an ACC championship team, two wins over the SEC this year, doing that on the road. I mean this is a remarkable team.”

The College Football Playoff field will be announced at 11 a.m. CST.
