Tennessee has landed another transfer on the offensive side of the ball. Late Friday night, the Volunteers landed their second tight end in the portal, ultimately attempting to complete the tight end room as a whole.

Alabama tight end transfer Miles Kitselman committed to Tennessee after his visit. Kitselman is a junior transfer who is 6'5 and 250 pounds from Lyndon High School. He is the second transfer tight end for the Volunteers, following behind Holden Staes from Notre Dame.

Tennessee is losing McCallan Castles and Jacob Warren due to eligibility losses, so picking up two reliable tight ends is huge for the Orange and White. The Volunteers tight end room was primarily young, so adding a veteran presence like Kitselman is huge. Tennessee now has 3–4 reliable options at the tight end position, including Kitselman, Staes, Davis, and Okoye. Although Kitselman played in 13 games for the Crimson Tide, he did not catch a pass; however, he might find himself getting targets at Tennessee.

The Volunteers have been known to use their tight ends in unique ways, especially as of late with the presence of Princeton Fant, Jacob Warren, and McCallan Castles over the past two seasons. It will be interesting and intriguing who the Volunteers will use in the tight end position; however, the Volunteers have made that position group more balanced and added much-needed depth to an extremely young group of student-athletes. Tennessee will now have a tight-end room that consists of freaks, freshmen, transfers, and overall playmakers.

  • Holden Staes (Transfer)
  • Ethan Davis (Redshirt Freshman)
  • Cole Harrison (True Freshman)
  • Miles Kitselman (Transfer)
  • Emmanuel Okoye (Redshirt Freshman)

Tennessee will look to make an impact as conference realignment and 12-team playoffs are on deck.
