NCAAF Week 11: Utah Utes vs. Washington Huskies betting picks, preview

Washington is part of a small group of teams that have yet to lose this season. The powers that be have not been overly impressed though and this is a chance at home to make a move for the College Football Playoffs. If transitive thinking is of any value it should be easy, given how badly Oregon beat Utah and Washington has already beaten Oregon. Things are rarely that simple though.

Utah Utes vs. Washington Huskies Betting Trends and Odds

Saturday, Nov. 11, 2023 — 3:30 p.m. ET
Odds: Washington -8, Over/under 49.5, Utah +250 | Washington -310

The thing that jumps out about this line is the total. Washington scored 52 points last week and averages more than 40 ppg so that gives you insight as to what kind of game is being expected by the oddsmakers. Five of the last six times these programs have met the final score has been within a touchdown too. Washington has won five of those but only covered in two.

Pick for Utah vs. Washington

Over 49.5

If you throw out a very odd game against Arizona State, every other Washington game has seen at least 48 points scored this season. The Huskies are fourth in yards and fourth in scoring and first in the nation in passing offense this season. The Utah defense is very good, but the Huskies are going to get their yards and points. They are going to give up some too. Probably not as many as they gave up against USC last week but enough. Washington likely covers the spread too in a comfortable win, but I like the over better because if Utah plays really well they are going to have to score a bunch to beat the Huskies at their own game. Look for a final score of something like 38-27 in favor of Washington.

The over is overwhelmingly the popular side with the market so you might want to bet this one sooner than later to get the best number. Odds are it pushes past 50.
