NCAAF Week 4: Colorado Buffaloes vs. Oregon Ducks betting picks, preview

I know, another Colorado game? (Don't tell me you already have Prime fatigue) The fact is the Buffaloes are undefeated, and ranked and so is Oregon so why would we not look at this one more closely. I am kind of curious if the Ducks have a special uniform planned to try and draw some attention back to them. This one should definitely be fun.

Colorado Buffaloes vs. Oregon Ducks Betting Trends and Odds

Saturday, September 23, 2023 — 3:30 p.m., ET

Odds: Oregon -21, Over/under 71.5, Colorado +800 | Oregon -1350

Colorado has already won outright as a 21-point underdog this season, I am sure that is going to come up more than once this week. That TCU team is nowhere near as good as this Oregon team though. This is the first conference game for both teams and Colorado has not beaten the Ducks since 2016. It is right on that key number of 21 so it will take some real support to move it.

Pick for Colorado vs. Oregon

Over 71.5

If you will recall I was hot on the Buffaloes before their Week 1 win at TCU. This week, I am less encouraged by their chances as Oregon is the better opponent and offers a more difficult spot to win. However, I did not want to back the Ducks giving up so many points. I also worry about the balloon bursting for the Buffs if they are down again, which is likely. Therefore the total looks more interesting right now. Both of these teams are talented, led by experienced quarterbacks and they know how to score. All-everything CB/WR Travis Hunter is out for this game and I think that hampers the Buffs more on the defensive side of things because they have proven to have a number of weapons on offense, but their defense does not have as much punch or depth. I think we can get close to 50 points in the first half alone and not have to sweat too much.

This game is in the afternoon window so it won't move much from people chasing losses earlier in the day. Not sure which way the total moves, if at all.
