The Tennessee Vols are taking a swing at flipping a four-star recruit who has been committed to Alabama since last month.

2025 four-star linebacker Abduall Sanders Jr committed to Alabama on March 21.

Sanders, 6-foot-2/210 lbs from Santa Ana, CA (Mater Dei), is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 31 linebacker in the nation and the No. 25 player in the state of California.

The talented linebacker told On3 that he's solid in his commitment to Alabama, but he's also interested in seeing other programs.

And for now, the only other program he's scheduled to see is Tennessee.

According to On3, Sanders will take an official visit to Tennessee in June. A big reason why Sanders wants to visit Knoxville is because of his relationship with new Tennessee linebackers coach William Inge.

“Coach Inge, he was recruiting me at Washington,” said Sanders to On3. “He loves me, I already know how he coaches and he’s a great coach. That’s someone that you want to be around.”

Oddly enough, one of the last four-star linebackers the Vols and the Crimson Tide went head-to-head for was also a California native.

Tennessee beat out Alabama during the 2019 recruiting cycle for four-star linebacker Henry To'o To'o.

To'o To'o played two seasons at Tennessee before eventually transferring to Alabama.

As for Sanders, the Vols will have to work hard to flip him from Alabama. But a strong official visit in June could certainly give the four-star linebacker plenty to think about -- especially considering his existing relationship with Inge.
