CINCINNATI — Lorenz Metz is the latest Bearcat to appear on a major award preseason watchlist. He earned recognition on the Rotary Lombardi Award list.
The honor is handed out annually to the college football defensive or offensive lineman that shows strong play on the field, plus a moral character and discipline like that of legendary NFL coach Vince Lombardi.
Metz—a Neuötting, Germany, native—already picked up his degree in industrial management this past December and is ready to add 14 more starts to his career total of 21.
He is the 12th Bearcat to land on a preseason watchlist of any kind heading into the 2022 season.
