The opening day of the NCAA transfer portal was about as crazy as you would expect. There were hundreds of players who entered the portal, including multiple Wisconsin football players.

The Badgers have also been linked to multiple big-name quarterbacks currently in the portal and there was even some drama with a player who committed to Wisconsin just a day before.

In case you missed the chaos that was the first official day of the portal opening, let’s get you all caught up.

Wisconsin Football Has Multiple Receivers Enter the Portal

Starting Receiver Chimere Dike Enters the Portal

In today’s college football landscape, you can’t assume anyone will be back next season. There were bound to be some players you didn’t think would leave the program. Chimere Dike is one of those players. He is a Wisconsin native and has been a big part of the Wisconsin football program over the past four seasons. Some reckless speculation on Twitter (X) thought maybe Florida could be an option for Dike to reunite with Mertz, who is running it back for another season.

Skyler Bell Will Finish His Career Elsewhere

Bell is a player who many thought would thrive in Longo’s new system but quickly lost snaps with the emergence of Will Pauling. Vinny Anthony started getting more snaps towards the end of the season too, so this move wasn’t too surprising.

Keontez Lewis is ‘Officially’ in the Transfer Portal

This is one we’ve all known about for months. After a few games and with little to no snaps, Lewis announced he would go into the portal. He has now officially entered the portal.

A Bizarre Situation Involving a Committed Player from the Portal

OLB from Transfer Portal De-Commits After 24 Hours

Wisconsin had a little extra excitement with a recruit in the portal who committed on Sunday after he visited Madison. Within 24 hours, the outside linebacker de-committed from the Badgers for some unclear reasons.

Wisconsin Football Recruitment Affected by Fraudulent NIL Agent

Badger fans put on their detective hats and went to work after Leon Lowery de-committed from the Badgers. An ‘NIL Agent’ is the center of the big controversy that took place on the opening day of the transfer portal. Things seem pretty sketchy.

Wisconsin Football Connected to Many Players in the Portal

On the other side of things, the Badgers have been connected with numerous players who have entered the portal.

Wisconsin Football Named a School to Watch for Washington State Transfer QB

This would be one of the biggest splashes the Badgers could pull off if it were to happen. Ward beat the Badgers in back-to-back seasons and has some great playmaking ability. Coming from an air raid offense at Wazzu would be a plus, too.

Wisconsin Football Connected to Duke Linebacker

The Badgers have been connected to a linebacker from the ACC who had over 60 tackles for the Blue Devils this year.

Wisconsin Football in Contact with FCS Transfer Portal Linebacker

The Badgers are targeting a linebacker from Ohio who had over 70 tackles and three sacks this season.

Wisconsin Football Offers FCS Freshman All-American Cornerback

The Badgers are looking to add to their secondary by dipping into the FCS for an All-American cornerback who had three interceptions this year and is racking up FBS offers.
