During England’s tour of India, they were treated to aggressive cricket from the Indian batters, with many striking near 100. The 4-1 scoreline saw many Indian batters hammering the inexperienced spinner from England, hitting 72 sixes.

Seeing how aggressive the Indian side were, Ben Duckett claimed Bazball and the English team deserved credit. He claimed that the English team had revolutionized Test cricket, and teams played aggressively only because of England.

Recently, Yashasvi Jaiswal spoke to Indian Express after the historic series. He spoke about his approach, how he attacked the English spinner and about Duckett’s statement. The youngster said he didn’t want to speak about it.

I don’t want to say anything about it. I just need to try and do whatever I can do on the ground that says the best I can do. Yashasvi Jaiswal said

In 9 innings, Jaiswal scored 712 runs, the 2nd highest by an Indian in a Test series. In those 9 innings, he hit 26 sixes, with 12 of them coming in Rajkot.

The way he backed players throughout this journey, the way he talks, the way he bats. Whatever happens, he will be there to stand by you. I think it’s incredible to see that in your leader. Yashasvi Jaiswal said

In his short Test career, Jaiswal has already made a remarkable impact. In 9 Tests he has scored 1028 runs, with an incredible average of 68.53. In 16 innings, he has scored three centuries, out of which two were double tons.
