Royal Challengers Bangalore enjoyed a superb PowerPlay despite Virat Kohli perishing early. Mitchell Starc was taken for 22 runs in an over by Will Jacks. KKR still haven’t used their impact sub and it could be another spinner who could come in there.

Earlier in the contest, RCB all-rounder Cameron Green pulled off a one-handed catch to dismiss KKR youngster Angkrish Raghuvanshi. The Aussie backtracked to produce an overhead diving effort at mid-wicket, leaving jaws dropped at the Eden Gardens.

The moment of brilliance took place in the 6th over, bowled by Yash Dayal, when No.3 Angkrish and Venkatesh Iyer were looking to keep up the good work for the hosts, who had made a scorching start before losing two quick wickets. Yash had removed Sunil Narine on the second ball of the 6th over and then he sent Angrish packing thanks to the stunner from Green.

The batter looked to flick the ball over mid-wicket but did not find the middle of the bat as the miscue flew to the mid-wicket region where Green was stationed. Green took a couple of steps back and leapt fully in the air with his right hand extended to complete a wonder grab.

RCB skipper Faf du Plessis and star batter Virat Kohli were chuffed to the bits and the team celebrated the fall of the third wicket in the PowerPlay itself.
